The Gomers are a Madison, Wisconsin based comedy rock/experimental music/progressive rock band. Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, and former Mayor Sue Baumann both proclaimed February 1 as "Gomer Day" in Madison. Their name was taken from Gomer Pyle.
