Transmetal is a thrash metal/death metal band formed in Yurécuaro, Michoacán, México in 1987 by Javier and Juan Partida. Transmetal have been one of the most important bands in Latin America.

They have released over 20 albums which experiment in thrash and death metal. Vocals styles are based on growling. It has been stated that they are the fathers of metal en Español in Michoacan State and for the people from the south of Mexico only.
