Rock City also known as Planet VI, is a songwriting and record production team from Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, composed of brothers Theron (born 1982) and Timothy Thomas (b. 1984), who go by the stage names of A.I (formerly Don't Talk) and Uptown A.P (formerly Da Spokesman), respectively. Their repertoire includes artists from R&B, pop and reggae fusion. Aside from writing and producing songs for other artists, the duo also release music of their own. In 2006, they secured a recording contract with Geffen Records and Akon's Kon Live Distribution imprint. They have written a string of hit singles for artists such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, R. Kelly and Akon, among many others. The duo has contributed to 10 different Grammy-nominated albums including Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” which won best contemporary R&B album and Jennifer Hudson’s self-titled album which won Outstanding Album and Best R&B Album.

Despite their songwriting success, they were unable to get a release date for their debut album under the labels. Subsequently the duo launched a very public campaign they gallantly called "PTFAO (Put the F**king Album Out)", to make the industry aware of their plight. Finally, in March 2011, after two years of campaigning, Akon met with the duo and offered them the option of remaining with the label and working towards releasing an album, or being released from their contract. Grateful as they were to Akon for the opportunities afforded them, the duo chose to become free agents. They then launched Rebelution Records, on which they plan to release their debut album under.
