Santiago Leyva (born October 27, 1988), better known as Fashawn or Fash, is an American rapper from Fresno, California. He first gained major attention after releasing his debut album Boy Meets World in 2009, which was produced entirely by Exile. The album received critical acclaim and landed him on the cover of XXL's Top 10 Freshmen issue in 2010.Fashawn has collaborated with other rappers and producers such as J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Evidence, Murs, Aloe Blacc, Planet Asia, Blu, The Alchemist, and 9th Wonder. On June 9, 2014, it was announced that Fashawn had signed to Nas's Mass Appeal Records. Backed by this new label, Fashawn is set to release his long-awaited second album The Ecology in early 2015.
