Jonas Quant (usually referred to as just Quant) is a producer, composer and songwriter from Gothenburg, Sweden. One of the Swedish label Dot's leading artists, Quant released a few neo-electro EPs for the quirky label in the late 1990s, in addition to several compilation contributions as well as remixes. His first album was released in 2000 and the second one in 2004. Before stepping into the pop world in 2006, he had been helping define the quirky neo-electro sound scene in Sweden, producing, dj’ing and performing live shows as Quant.
He was approached by the Pet Shop Boys on their Fundamental album but declined, due to a heavy workload. Remixes include Kaskade, Tosca, Similou, Coldcut etc.
In 2010 Quant co-produced the debut album "Happiness" with Hurts. It debuted at number four in the UK Albums Chart, selling 25,000 copies in its first week on sale, which made it the fastest selling debut album by a band in 2010. The Album was recorded in Quants studio in Gothenburg.
2011 was a year of success which included collaborations with Leona Lewis and No Doubt.
2012 Jonas produced and co-wrote Agnes Carlsson single, One Last Time.
