Tyler Bates (born February 22, 1977) is a music producer and composer for films, TV and video games. His most recent work includes James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy which has become the highest grossing movie of 2014. This is Bates's third movie with Gunn after completing the score for Slither & Super.

Bate's is also well known for his work on Rob Zombie's Halloween, Halloween II, The Devil's Rejects, Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen, and Sucker Punch; Neil Marshall's Doomsday, See No Evil & Ti West's The Sacrament.
