The Rongetz Foundation

Stephane Ronget, known as RONGETZ, is a music composer, producer and trumpeter. Originally from France and now living in New York City (USA). He Graduated (Jury 's president: Didier Lockwood), from The National conservatory of Lyon (France)in trumpet and jazz history.


Beginning of the 2000s, RONGETZ got involved in different projects, always dealing with jazz crossover views. First successful band was Metropolitan Jazz Affair, releasing 2 albums and several 12 and 7 inches. The band is featured in over 40 compilations.


In 2007 Rongetz started a new project called The Rongetz Foundation. Recording live, original compositions, while mixing musicians from different horizons and generations, was the initial idea. With the help of the label Heavenly sweetness (Franck Descollonges, Vincent Quittard, Antoine RAJON) The Rongetz Foundation released four albums and few LPs. That project led Rongetz to record with members of bands like The jazz Messengers, Eddie PALMIERI Orchestra, Charles MINGUS Big band, The RH factor, Franck ZAPPA’s group, Steve TURRE, Gary BARTZ, Gregory PORTER.
