Jamal Dewar (July 7, 1993 – December 24, 2012), better known by his stage name Capital Steez (stylized as Capital STEEZ), was an American hip hop recording artist from Brooklyn, New York City, New York. He was the founder of the Brooklyn-based hip hop collective Pro Era, along with longtime friend and fellow rapper Joey Badass. He committed suicide at the age of 19, by jumping from a building in Manhattan's Flatiron District.
