WGN FM, or The G as we like to call it, is the first radio station that uses the latest streaming Internet technology to mix Talk, Video and Social Networking into one seamless entertainment destination. At WGN FM, the FM stands for freeform media and its exactly that. Were making it all up as we go. There are no traditional formats or even set show times. Our sponsors are integrated into the content as opposed to being an interruption. WGN FM is based on and improved by interaction with our listeners. The goal is being fun, inclusive, unafraid risk-takers that will try again if we dont get something right the first time. WGN FM launched its inaugural show on September 12, 2013 with Jonathon Brandmeier from 6-9am CT. That first show ended, in true freeform style, at 9:08am.
