One of South Africa’s leading regional community radio stations, Radio Khwezi, has an electronic footprint, which now covers most of the KwaZulu/Natal Midlands. Community radio stations fill a valuable new role in that, for the first time, South Africans are able to listen to local radio, radio which is part of the local community; be that community a small town, a city or part of a city, for instance, a university campus.
