Astronomy.FM was founded in 2009 by a group of like-minded professional and amateur astronomers as an international outreach organization. AFM*Radio was launched shortly thereafter, and is currently the group’s primary outreach medium. AFM*Radio is the only 24-hour internet radio station in the Known Universe dedicated to astronomy and other sciences.The fundamental mission of our organization is to educate and inspire our listening audience through original AFM*Radio programming, live event coverage, and selected syndicated content. We currently broadcast to approximately 20,000 unique English-speaking listeners, in 85 countries, every month.
